Fire Guts Plywood Factory in Bangaon


Bangaon: A massive fire on Thursday gutted a plywood factory in Bangaon’s Gopalnagar area under North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal. Although no one is injured in the incident property worth in Lakhs have been reduced to ashes.

The fire brigade rushed to the spot and deployed 3 engines to douse the flames. The highly combustible nature of the materials present in the factory is fueling the fire.

Despite tremendous effort put by the fire brigade the fire is still raging and additional fire engines have been dispatched to the spot. Although the reason which sparked the fire is not yet clear, a short circuit is suspected to have caused the blaze.
