Siliguri: A major fire broke out at a hotel in West Bengal’s Siliguri district on Tuesday night. Although no one is injured, property worth in lakhs have been reduced to ashes.
As per reports, flames broke out at the third floor of a hotel located near Hill Cart in Siliguri. The incident sparked panic among the boarders, who were evacuated safely.
Fire brigade rushed to the spot and deployed three engines to douse the flames. Finally after battling the flames for half-an-hour fire fighters were able to douse the fire.
Although it is still not clear what caused the fire, fire brigade said that a short circuit might have caused the incident.
