Fire Breaks Out At Mumbai Sessions Court


Mumbai: A massive fire broke out in the Mumbai City and Sessions Court building in Fort, southern part of the city here on Monday near the University of Mumbai’s South Mumbai campus next to Rajabai Towers.

The fire was reported noticed first on the third floor of the Sessions Court. Fire officials said the first call was made around 7.50 this morning.5 fire engines were rushed to the spot.

According to BMC disaster control 8 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and efforts to douse the fire were on. No casualties were reported so far.

This is sixth incident of fire reported in Mumbai, since the Kamala Mills fire incident on December 29, which took life of 14 people. The other fire incidents in the maximum city were in Marol in Andheri East, killing a family of four, Nagpada in Mumbai Central, Cinevista film studio in Kanjurmarg, and another fire in Lower Parel.
