FIR lodged against Mamata’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee


Kolkata: An FIR has been lodged against Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee by the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday. The move was confirmed by the State President of BJP Rahul Sinha in a press meet on Tuesday afternoon. He was quoted saying that the FIR has been lodged against Abhishek in the Jorasanko Police Station and the BJP wing of the state will plead before the police to arrest Abhishek for his unconstitutional remarks.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek has publicly threatened to “gouge out the eyes and chop off hands” of anyone who dares to hurt Bengal’s interests. Abhishek, a first time Trinamool Congress parliamentarian, made the aggressive remarks while addressing a meeting in North 24 Paragana district, about 30 minutes from Kolkata, in the presence of several senior leaders of the party.
