FINTECH Knowledge Workshop Held At Biswa Bangla


Kolkata: A workshop on knowledge on new software was arranged at New Town by the
joint initiative of the Information Technology and Electronics department and West
Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WEBEL) on Friday. The
workshop was named as ‘FINTECH’ workshop, and was attended by at least two hundred
students. The workshop was aimed at providing knowledge to these students on
developed and modern technological process.

The Information and Technology minister Bratya Basu unveiled the 6th workshop at
the New Town Biswa Bangla Convention on Friday. It was also attended by HIDCO
Chairman and Information and Technology president Debashis Sen.

Minister Bratya Base said, “The CM wants that you all do not have to leave the
state for jobs. For this, such a type of workshop was held.”

Debashis Sen said, “FINTECH has brought a major revolution in the country. We are
all aware of internet banking, paytm, atm. But providing loans, insurance,
investment in the share market are also there, knowledge of which were provided in
the workshop.”

Sen also added, “In one hand, the use of digital technology has increased, on the
other hand, corrupt people are using technology and creating different kinds of
problems. They are frauding people. This needs to be stopped. New technologies are
being invented for cyber safety. Opportunities are being made to make careers of
the new generation by providing this new technology to them.”
