New Delhi: As a gift to passengers in the festive season, Union Railway minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday has announced exemption from ‘Flexi Fare’ to fifteen premium trains. Only 50 percent of the total seat used to get booked due to flexi fare.
On the occassion of Diwali, Railway authority has gifted to its passengers. The offer will not be applicable in 32 trains during lean periods. It will be effective in one hundred and one trains.
Piyul Goyal said that in large number of trains seat do not get used due to flexi fare. Initially fifteen premium quality trains will be incorporated under the facility. The authority is expecting a positive change after such decision has been made quickly. On the other hand, the fare will be lowed after this.
It would be beneficial for railway authority and passengers too. It will reduce the fare as well as it will keep the seats full in most of the time. The frequency of availing service will increase with growing time. Railway will get a overall benefits in serving their passengers. There was a plan to cancel the flexi fare in 2017.
