Ferry Capsizes In Myanmar, 14 Dead, Scores Missing


Burma: 14 bodies were recovered after a ferry capsized in Central Myanmar on Monday. It has also been reported that many more are missing.

Rescuers have recovered 14 bodies and expect to find more. A ferry packed with teachers, students and workers capsized in central Myanmar today.

“So far we have found 14 dead bodies from the river, but we still need to identify them,” director of the local relief and resettlement department, Sa Willy Frient, said, warning that the toll could rise.
