Fernandinho Saves Man City As It Settles For A Draw


Paris: Midfielder Luis Fernandinho smashed a decisive goal as Manchester City settled with a 2-2 draw against Paris Saint Germain in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie at Parc des Princes.

Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne gave the visitors an early lead by netting a goal in the 38th minute but Zlatan Ibrahimovic equalized the score for the PSG just three minutes later.

In the second half, Adrien Rabiot put the hosts in lead again before Fernandinho smashed the second goal for City in the 72nd minute to put them in driver’s seat ahead of the second leg.

City has now taken advantage over PSG as they have nabbed two away goals. The two sides will play their second leg at the Etihad Stadium on April 13.
