Bankura: Momo challenge panic has spread to West Bengal as well as again in Bankura. Now Ashis Dey from Bishnupur’s Radhanagar gets Momo message.
Ashish complained that on Thursday a message from an International Number with the name of Momo and photo came to his WhatsApp. He became scared and informed to the police immediately.
The district police requested public not to panic. If you get a message like this, then immediately requested to inform the local police station. Another woman, an IT professional and a mother of an eight-year-old boy, in the state capital received a similar invitation, following which she approached the Kolkata Police cyber cell.
Besides this police has started the campaign through leaflets to aware of the Momo Games. Momo Games Awareness Camp is being organized to make students aware of this game. District police sources said that this kind of awareness camp will be held in every school.
District Superintendent of Police Sukhendu Hira advised people not to accept any invitation to play the “game” from any unknown number and not to click on any unidentified link. if anyone will get this type of message then people should immediately inform local police station.
