Kolkata: A Fake notice regarding the eid holiday took over social media from Saturday. Common people facing huge problem due to the post. Kolkata Police said on Monday that it is a fake post.
The Ramzan month will end on June 14. Eid is supposed to get celebrated on June 16. The notice got viral in social media. The notice issued mentioning the name of West Bengal Government stated that the Eid holiday will be from June 12 to June 15.
The fake holiday post included four days as official holiday for Eid where school, college, government institutions will be closed. The notice is carrying signature of Additional Secretary Rajshekhar Banerjee as an authentication.

The notice triggered anxiety among common people. Snapshot of the post has been posted in the official page of Kolkata police. They said, “A fake post on Eid holiday doing round in Social Media. Those who have masterminded the plan, will be strictly dealt with as per law.”
