Kolkata: Two fake JEE examinees have been detained by the authorities on Tuesday from Mitra Institution and Sinthi. Earlier the same day three more fake examinees have been detained at Jalpaiguri and eight from Siliguri. A total of 13 fake examinees have been detained so far across the state.
Reacting to the Siliguri incident Chairman of joint entrance board Bhaskar Gupta assured that the matter will be dealt with strict hand. Gupta also sought a detailed list of the candidate on whose behalf the detainees were appearing in the exam.
As per the reports, the accused appeared an hour later after commencing the exam. Lashing out at the college Gupta said why was the suspected persons not arrested before, if the authorities were indeed suspicious
