Fake JEE examinees held at Siliiguri Polytechnic College

Siliguri: Authorities on Tuesday detained eight fake examinees appearing for the Joint Entrance Examination in the state. The detained persons are from a nearby state. They were appearing on behalf of some listed candidates.

The incident took place at the Jalpaiguri Polytechnic College. A complaint has been lodged at the Siliguri police station.

On the other hand, chairman of joint entrance board Bhaskar Gupta assured that the matter will be dealt with strict hand. Gupta also sought a detailed list of the candidate on whose behalf the detainees were appearing in the exam.

As per the reports, the accused appeared an hour later after commencing the exam. Lashing out at the college Gupta said why was the suspected persons not arrested before, if the authorities were indeed suspicious.
