A Corps Commanders’ Conference was held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi where General Sharif reviewed the external and internal security situation and the operational preparedness of the army.
The Army chief expressed his satisfaction over the military preparedness and said that Pakistan is keeping a close watch on the latest happenings in the region and their impact on Pakistan.
Sharif said that the “armed forces of Pakistan are fully prepared to respond to entire spectrum of direct and indirect threat”.
At the meeting, the General said that the army is ready to thwart any sinister plot against the country. “Pakistan’s Armed Forces, together with our resilient nation, have surmounted every challenge and will thwart any sinister design against integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan in future as well,” Sharif said.
