Explosion at Jammu, 3 killed


Jammu: Three people were reported to have died and one injured on Saturday in a blast at a forest area near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The news was confirmed by the police. Police said three civilians were killed and another injured when the explosive device went off near Saryam village, Nowshara, of Rajouri district on Saturday morning.

“Three civilians were killed and another injured when an explosive device went off in forest area near Saryam village at 9 am today (Saturday),” a senior police officer told a news agency in winter capital Jammu.

A defence official said that a drifted mine exploded in the field of a villager who has already taken compensation for his land.
