Examinations Postponed For One Month

Kolkata: The West Bengal Government on Thursday announced that all the scheduled exams have been postponed for a month.

The government said that the summer vacations of all government and government-aided schools will begin on 19th May. Classes will resume on 13th June and the students will have to sit for their examinations on the 13th itself.

Earlier the Government announced that all Government and government aided schools in West Bengal, where classes were suspended due to hot weather since 11 April, would resume classes on 16th May.  But that will be only for two days. West Bengal Government on Wednesday declared that schools will be closed from 19th May.

The syllabi will be discussed in the 2 days for which the schools will re-open. The summer vacation will then commence from 19th May.

As per report, many government schools will serve as the venue for JEE examination which is scheduled on 17th May.  So after that schools will commence its summer vacations.
