Balurghat: Former minister Abdul Karim Chowdhury has sent a letter to BJP president stating desire to join Bharatiya Janata Party. He was present in a BJP public meeting in Balurghat while said.
‘Joining Program’ took place in Gulmohar of Balurghat where many people from Congress, Trinamool and RSp has shifted to BJP. In this program, veteran politician and MLA and former minister of state Abdul Karim Chowdhury along with two sons were present in the program to include his name in BJP.
He sent his letter to BJP President Amit Shah through BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijaivargaiya. He mentioned to include Bangla Vikashbadi To NDA. Saffron camp of Balurghat and others in the meeting has called Chowdhury ‘leader of BJP’.
Abdul Karim Chowdhury said, “Mukul Roy and I used to be in TMC at the same time. Mamata Banerjee has deprived them by taking the power. Democracy and right to democracy has been hijacked from people. Thats whu he left TMC and formed Bangla Bikashbadi Dal which will act as surrogate team of NDA.
