England to miss Anderson in fourth Ashes Test

London: England fast bowler James Anderson has been ruled out of the fourth Ashes Test against Australia at Trent Bridge due to a side strain. The 33-year-old was injured on day two at Edgbaston as England inched towards the victory after reducing the tourists to 168-7 at stumps on Thursday.

Confirming the news, the England and Wales Cricket Board said that Anderson's availability for final Test at the Oval would be declared soon, the BBC reported. Anderson was at his dominant best on the opening day as he claimed six wickets to bundle out Australia for a paltry 136 at Edgbaston. The fourth Test will commence from 6th August with the fifth Test on 20th August.
