Endangered Flying Dragon Recovered in Jalpaiguri

Jalpaiguri: A rare Flying Dragon was recovered from Jalpaiguri’s Gajaldooba area on Sunday. Forest department officials also nabbed two person who were smuggling the dragon.

Following a tip off, forest officials arrested a teacher from Cooch Behar and another local Panhayat member and recovered the dragon. Police said that the dragon was smuggled from Arunachal Pradesh and was to be put on sale at Siliguri.

The official said that the dragon cost about rupees fifty lakhs in the international market. The arrested were identified as Baruni Sarkar and Firdos Ali. They will be produced at the jalpaiguri CJM court.
