Encephalitis Kills One in Jalpaiguri


Jalpaiguri: A 28 rear old named Sukumar Burman succumbed to deadly encephalitis at Jalpaiguri district hospital on Friday. The deceased was a resident of Jalpaiguri’s Panga Planeghati area. Burman was admitted at the hospital on July 7. He was diagnosed to be suffering from deadly Japanese encephalitis and could not be saved. Japanese Encephalities is caused by mosquito bites. Mosquitos act as carrier for the deadly Japanese Encephalities Virus.
