Srinagar: The contractual employees of Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday took to the street demanding regularization of their jobs. The protesters vented their anger out at the BJP-PDP government in the valley. Stuation turned hostile as the protesters marched towards the secretariat building were halted by police. Forces resorted to lathicharge to control the unruly crowed. There are lakhs of contractual employees serving I various departments of the J&K government and around 500 to 600 took to the street today.
