Elephant kills two

Siliguri: Further escalating the man-elephant clash, a wild elephant killed two beggars at Bangdubi area of Bagdogra on Tuesday.

As per the reports, the elephant attacked the beggars on the way to Janglibaba’s temple. The victims were going to the temple on the eve of Shivaratri hoping to earn a bit extra that day. The Forest Department had declared compensation to the victim’s family. Forest Department employed guards around the temple after the incident.
