Eighteen trucks carrying iron ore set on fire by Maoists


Raipur: Eighteen trucks carrying iron ore from a mine in Chattishgarh’s Kanker district were set on fire by the Maoists on Sunday morning, within 24 hours of an ambush by the Naxals in Sukma district which killed seven Jawans of the Special task Force and injured 11 others.

No causalities have been reported in the incident. Kanker, where the trucks were set on fire, is at a distance of about 265 kms from Sukma where the ambush occurred on Saturday.
