Education Minister Hold Meeting With District Inspectors


Kolkata: West Bengal Education minister Partha Chatterjee held a meeting with all the District Inspector(DI) at Bikash Bhawan on Monday. But North Dinajpur DI was not invited in the meeting. The DI of Darjeeling could not attend the meeting due to examination. The Education minister ordered to give all the documents regarding school within October 5.

The ruckus broke out at Islampur Darivit High School premises on Thursday over the recruitment of teachers left two students dead and several injured. All the inspectors of Primary and secondary level were invited for the meeting in Bikash Bhawan.

School education secretary Manish Jain, Additional education secretary and others officials were present in the meeting. Though the Education minister said that a meeting took place in an interval of three months.

Talking to the media after the meeting, he said that it is illegal to change the desination in Darivit school. North Dinajpur DI did not give any information to the education department regarding the appointment of the teachers.

He must have informed to the Dirstrict Magistrate office. The department has asked for a infrastructural report, stating the present availability and demand of teachers and other things of schools within October 5.

He informed that, Darivit High School has 22 teachers including five para teachers. DI of every district has been informed that not to take decision without discussion. Apart from this an investigation must be there on the head master, DI and against the police.  The minister said that fulfillment of any need must be informed to the concerned department.
