Sahitya Akademi is inviting application from the eligible candidates for the posts of Deputy Secretary (Publication and Sales) and Regional Secretary (Kolkata). Vacancy Details:

1. DEPUTY SECRETARY (PUBLICATION)
No. of Vacancies: 01
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree in a language recognised by Akademi or equivalent and General knowledge of Indian literature and contacts with the literary community.
Candidates should have basic knowledge of Computer Application and knowledge of at least one Indian Language and Good knowledge of English.
Experience: Five years of experience relevant to the execution of the job with ability to Organize programmes and processing documents / minutes.
Desirable: i) Research / Doctoral Degree in Literature.
ii) Knowledge of Book Production and Publication.
iii) Experience in editing publications.
Age Limit: Maximum-50 years
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 and Grade Pay Rs.6600/-

2. DEPUTY SECRETARY (SALES)
No. of Vacancies: 01
Educational Qualification: i) Post Graduate degree in a Language recognised by Akademi or equivalent professional qualification.
ii) Diploma in Sales Management.
iii) Basic knowledge of Computer Application and knowledge of at least one Indian Language and Good knowledge of English.
iv) General Knowledge of Indian Literature and Contacts with the book sellers, distributors and book selling agencies.
Experience: Five years of experiences in Sales Management and Knowledge of the latest methods of sales promotion.
Desirable: Experience in organizing Book Exhibitions and Good contact with the literary community.
Age Limit: Maximum-50 years
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 and Grade Pay Rs.6600/-

3. REGIONAL SECRETARY (KOLKATA)
No. of Vacancies: 01
Educational Qualification: i) Post Graduate degree in a Language recognised by Akademi.
ii) Basic knowledge of Computer Application and General knowledge of Indian Literary community and contacts with the literary community.
iii) Knowledge of Government Rules, Procedure and accounts.
iv) Knowledge of English and special knowledge of at least one language of the region and general awareness of other literature in the region.
Experience: i) Five years experience relevant to the execution of the job with ability to organize literary and publication programmes and processing of documents/minutes.
ii) Experience in Office Administration.
Desirable: i) Research / Doctoral degree in literature or published research work of equivalent standard.
ii) Published works of reasonable standard.
iii) knowledge of Book Production and Publication.
Age Limit: Maximum-50 years
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 and Grade Pay Rs.6600/-
