ED Summons Baisakhi Banerjee On Narada Scam


Kolkata: Baisakhi Banerjee on Friday visits Enforcement Director’s office CGO complex at Bidhannagar along with her friend Sovan Chatterjee.

Earlier, The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had sent summons to former Kolkata Mayor Sovan Chatterjee for the third time, asking him to appear before it in connection with the Narada tapes controversy.

The Narada sting operation purportedly showed several Trinamool Congress ministers, MLAs and MPs accepting money from the editor of Narada News, Matthew Samuel, who posed as a businessman.

A company was formed (allegedly by his estranged wife Ratna Chatterjee) without my knowledge. The name of this company was GCR. I asked, ‘Who is GCR?’. She (Ratna) said GCR stood for Gopal, Chiku, Ratna. I asked who is Chiku. Chiku is a person named Avijit Ganguly. The company took a loan from the market.
