EC to review poll preparedness in Bihar


Patna: Campaigning for the 3rd and 4th phases of Bihar assembly elections is in full swing. Leaders of NDA and Grand alliance are leaving no stone unturned to convince voters to vote for them.

Meanwhile a team of Election Commission led by Nasim Zaidi will visit Bihar today to take stock of preparedness for the third and fourth phases of Assembly elections.

Battle of Bihar gets heated after two phases of polling. Now political parties are gearing up for the third and fourth phase of assembly elections scheduled to be held on October 28 and November 1respectively.

Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh campaigned for NDA on Saturday. Addressing a rally at Chhapra, Rajnath Singh targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and said due to Nitish’s ego Bihar is lagging behind in the race of development.

JD-U Leader Nitish Kumar also held a rally at Chhapra. He tried to woo the voters of economically weaker sections. Kumar said, if voted to power,his government will give financial assistance to students to pursue higher studies.

On the other hand, Congress President Sonia Gandhi addressed a rally at Baksar. Addressing the rally Sonia said this election is an opportunity for the people of Bihar to decide their fate.

Senior BJP leader Ravishankar Prasad today reached Motihari assembly constituency of East Champaran and convened a meeting of intellectuals at the BJP office.

Addressing the meeting Ravishankar said on the one hand NDA government at the centre is taking various initiatives to make India a knowledge economy, generate employment and prepare skilled workforce across the country.

On the other political parties of grand alliance are playing pitty politics in the name of class and caste in Bihar.

Meanwhile, a team of Election Commission led by Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi will go Bihar on Sunday to take stock of preparedness for the third and fourth phases of Assembly elections in the state where it will also interact with political parties and top government officials.
