EC issues letter to DGP and Home sec over law and order condition


Kolkata: The state Election Commissioner has issued a letter to the state Home Secretary and DGP enquiring about the law and order situation in the state. A meeting will also be conducted in this regard.

After the elections were declared, more than 100 allegations have been submitted with the election commission. In some places, political clashes have been reported while in some places playing of loudspeakers have been alleged. Few days are left for the elections. The administration is in deep thought regarding the law and order situation in the state over the allegations. The administration is afraid that the situation of the state may turn volatile during the elections.

Every district administration has been instructed to give reports about the law and order situation. The DGP has also been given directive
