Kolkata: West Bengal to step into its Phase – IV assembly elections on April 25 2016. The Election Commission announced on Saturday that a total of 22,000 State Police will be deployed on Monday. The Salt Lake area will be under special surveillance as chaos was created in the last votes for the Corporation.
A total of 672 company central forces would be deployed all over the 49 constituencies. 227 company central forces in Howrah and 445 company central forces in North 24 Parganas would be posted.
A total of 49 constituencies will go into elections on Monday. The constituencies are : Bagda, Bangaon Uttar, Bangaon Dakshin, Gaighata, Swarupnagar, Baduria, Habra, Ashoknagar, Amdanga, Bijpur, Naihati, Bhatpara, Jagatdal, Noapara, Barrackpur, Khardaha, Dum Dum Uttar, Panihati, Kamarhati, Baranagar, Dum Dum, Rajarhat New Town, Bidhannagar, Rajarhat Gopalpur, Madhyamgram, Barasat, Deganga, Haroa, Minakhan, Sandeshkhali, Basirhat Dakshin, Basirhat Uttar, Hingalganj, Bally, Howrah Uttar, Howrah Madhya, Shibpur, Howrah Dakshin, Sankrail, Panchla, Uluberia Purba, Uluberia Uttar, Uluberia Dakshin, Shyampur, Bagnan, Amta, Udaynarayanpur, Jagatballavpur, Domjur.
