East Bengal Signs Mexican Striker

Kolkata: East Bengal gave surprise before Derby to their fans. The positive striker problem is said to be overcome. Mexican striker Enrique Esqueda is coming to the red-yellow brigade. Enrique was playing in the U-17 World Cup in Mexico in 2005.

The 30-year-old striker has signed an agreement with East Bengal. The striker can come to the Kolkata next week. The Club has already signed Acousta.

East Bengal are currently playing the regional Calcutta Football League, where they share the top spot on the table with arch-rivals Mohun Bagan.

However, he has been capped only nine times and was also a passenger in Mexico’s 2015 Copa America squad. The 30-year-old was a free agent after a public fall out with Tigres UANL, a club where he was in the books for four seasons until 2017.
