Barasat: East Bengal recorded their seven victories in CFL. East Bengal beat Aryan 1-0 at the Barasat Vidyasagar Kriangan on Sunday.

A first-half strike by Somide Adelaja was enough for East Bengal to see off Aryan as the Red and Golds finished the Calcutta Football League campaign with a all-win record for the first time since 1975, three days after securing the title for the seventh consecutive time.

With head coach Trevor James Morgan and assistant coach Richard Dryden both back to their countries, Avijit Mondal, the former Dempo and East Bengal goalkeeper acted as the coach for Robert Lalthalmuana and co. The team missed the services of Mohammed Rafique and Narayan Das for this match, but were focused enough to return with all three points.
