Earthquake of 7.0 strikes Indonesia


Jakarta: An earthquake measuring 7.0 on Richter scale has struck the Irian Jaya, Indonesia, on Tuesday according to the US Geological Survey.

According to reports, the epicenter of the quake was situated at 32.8 miles (52.8 km) deep and was centred 154 miles (248 miles) west of Jayapura. The quake occurred at around 3.11 Am (IST)
