Earthquake Measuring 5.1 On Richter Scale Struck J&K’s Thang


Srinagar: An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck 111-kilometer north-east of Thang in Jammu and Kashmir on the early Thursday morning.

Yesterday, strong tremors were felt in New Delhi-NCR (National Capital Region) as a 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck Uttarakhand.

The tremors were also felt in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) where people rushed out of their homes in panic. As per some reports, some high-rise buildings shook as the tremors struck.

Buildings shook in Delhi-NCR as tremor struck. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre had earlier said that the tremor measured 5.0 on the Richter scale.
