Earthquake measured in Panama, Taiwan


Sydney/Taipei: An earthquake of 6.6 Magnitude on Richter scale was measured off the west coast of Panama about 260 miles south from the coast.

No tsunami warning has been issued yet by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. On the other hand, another earthquake was recorded at Taipei, Taiwan, measuring 5.4 on Richter Scale though no causalities or damage were reported.

Taiwan’s Seismology center reported that the quake struck at the north-west of Hualien. The quake occurred 22 Kms below the ground level and was felt in many areas including Taipen.
