Kathmandu: An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale hit Nepal a little after 8 am this morning, the Indian Met Dept said in an alert. The quake had a depth of 10 km. The epicenter is located at longitude 86.1812 and latitude 27.7986
Earlier, Strong tremors of earthquake were felt in the national capital region on Wednesday evening. It is reported that the earthquake was measuring 5.5 on Richter scale. Tremors also felt in Uttaranchal and epicenter 121 Km East of Dehradun. The tremors were also felt in Uttarakhand’s Roorkee town.
The earthquake struck at 8:49 pm, at a depth of 30 kilometres, according to the Indian Meteorological Department.
