Kolkata: The West Bengal government sets on Tuesday up a 24-hour control room at Nabanna to keep eye on any untoward situation during the Durga Puja and till the Lakshmi Puja in the state.
The control room operates from September 26 (Shashthi) to October 5 (Lakshmi Puja). The police will also set up a control room at Nabanna.
The number to be dialled is (033) 22143526. Anyone can call up to inform about any incident. Immediate action would be taken.
The State Government’s control room would be headed by a joint secretary-level officer and an officer from the State Disaster Management Department.
