Kolkata: With much anticipation Mohun Bagan has signed the East Bengal left out Dudu Omagbemi as their foreign forward for the CFL. According to the club sources, Dudu has been signed for a period of four months by the Bagan officials. Since last few days, Dudu's agent had been a regular visitor in the club. He had even said to have hold talks with Coach Sanjoy Sen who had been searching for a genuine forward for the Domestic League. On Wednesday, the club sources confirmed that Dudu Omagbemi had been signed by the green and maroons as their striking force.
According to Kolkata Maidan, the signing of Dudu by the Mohun Bagan officials is seen as a reply to East Bengal who played the masterstroke by roping in Bello Rassaq from them after the I League. By getting Dudu on board, MB have not only consolidated their forward line but also given a reply to the red and golds as they thought Dudu has lost his mettle of goal scoring ability, feels many. Mohun Bagan will be opening their CFL campaign against Mohammedan Sporting Club on Sunday at Barasat stadium.
