Drug Store Burgled In Agarpara, Huge Cash & Medicines Looted


Barrackpore: Burglars broke into a drug shop and looted huge cash along with some medicines on Thursday night in an area of Agarpara in North 24 Paraganas.

The incident took place in the wee hours of Thursday night at very populated area of Agarpara in North 24 Paraganas. According to sources, the cash that has been looted amounts Rs. 40 thousand, along with this they took away some emergency documents of the shop owner and also some life-saving drugs.

Local sources said that on Friday morning, when they noticed the lock of the shop was broken and the shop was open but no one was inside. Locals suspected something was wrong, hence they immediately informed the local police and the store owner Swapan Kumar Das.

The store owner Das reached the spot after getting the news and found his store in a miserable condition. Meanwhile, the Khardah police also reached the spot and investigation is underway. The police didn’t say anything about the incident as of now and will response only after the investigation ends.

Mr. Das said that, “I have been working in this area for a long time. This is the first time such incident happened here in this area.An ambulance driver at Panihati Hospital informed me about this theft. I closed the shop at 12pm on Thursday and went home.

And the incident happened at the late night. The miscreants have looted the entire shop, important credentials and huge cash along with some important drugs.”

After such a horrific incident fear has spread among the other shopkeepers in the area. Although the police has started investigating the whole incident.
