‘Double blow’ for Mumbai, Anderson ruled out from IPL

New Delhi:  Mumbai Indians have suffered yet another injury blow in IPL 8 with all-rounder Corey Anderson ruled out of the tournament with a minor finger fracture.

Anderson missed the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore due to the injury and will be heading home. A full assessment of his injury will be taken upon his arrival in New Zealand. He had a good start in the tournament, scoring two fifties and notching up 114 runs at an average of 38.

The injury also throws his participation in doubt for the tour to England. New Zealand are scheduled to tour England for two Tests, five ODIs and a T20I in May-June. The other injury concern for New Zealand is Adam Milne, who was ruled out of the IPL due to a heel injury.
