Doctors stay indifferent towards swine flu in Delhi


New Delhi: 49 fresh cases of swine flu were reported in the national capital on Sunday. With this, the total number of cases of the disease has gone up to 488 so far this year. Five people have died of the disease this year.

In Gujarat, 39 new positive cases of Swine flu have been registered during the last 24 hours.Death toll due to infection of swine flu has reached to 38 as one more person died in Patan district. In Rajasthan, the H1N1 virus has taken 40 lives so far, with another 170 people tested positive for the virus. In Odisha, swine flu claimed its first victim of the year on Sunday.The state health department has called an emergency meeting at Bhubaneswar after the first swine flu death.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda has said that the Centre is closely monitoring the situation. He said, all necessary assistance and support are being provided to the affected states to manage the situation.
