Dhaka: India gifts Diwali bonanza for our nation. India thrashed Malaysia 6-2 in the Super 4 stage of Asia Cup hockey in Dhaka on Thursday. India had an impressive run of form in the group stage as they dominated their opponents and were able to qualify for the next round with an unbeaten record.

They were not so impressive against South Korea next but a draw kept their unbeaten record intact. After their victory on Thursday, India maintain their unbeaten record. Malaysia came all out in the final quarter and scored two goals but it was too little too late for them. Veteran Sardar made sure that India scored at least a goal in each quarter by pumping in the sixth in the final minute of the match. India will face arch-rivals Pakistan in their final match of the Super 4s stage on Saturday.
