Distance Bridged, Mamata-Mukul to Share Stage

Kolkata: The once impregnable wall between West Bengla chief minister Mamata Banerjee and former Trinamool general secretary Mukul Roy seemed to be crumbling as the duo will share stage at a minority rally convened by Toha Siddiqui at Furfura Sharif on Friday.

The Mukul-Mamata patch up and the furfura Sharif meeting is held by many as a political move to garner the support of minority vote bank for the upcoming Assembly polls in the state.

Mukul Roy had maintained a tactical silence over the formation of a new party and has maintained that he is still part of the party. However rumours are that Mukukl’s decision is based on mere political circumstances.

Congress is virtually non-existence and BJP is yet to gain a foothold in the state so for Mukul to accelerate in politics best move is to side with TMC.
