Malda: West Bengal government has prohibited 20 wheelers which effecting export-importers in a large scale. Businessman in Malda also worried over the same reason.
Mahadipur export zone in India-Bangaldesh border facing huge economical loss. Most of the business materials comes in giant 20 wheelers truck from outside. The prohibition over 20 wheelers are tensed people related to business.
Samir Ghosh, one of the exporter said that “vegetables used to get exported via Mahadipur zone. Most of them are 20 wheelers among them. Matador or 420 truck takes much time and cost high. The three months negotiation will not be functional after such announcement. It will hamper the relation with Bangladesh. The annual business will be reduced after this. State will get the heat of such economic loss.”
Malda Merchant of Commerce secretary Jayanta Kundu said, “The daily goods will be high priced. Majorly, Iron, Cement and dal dealers will have the troublesome days after this.”
