Mumbai: Jagga Jasoos trailer is out and it reintroduces us to the kid inside all of us. Remember how we used to imagine our lives to be as exciting as a Disney film? Well, the dream is certainly coming true for Jagga (Ranbir Kapoor) who introduces us to a crazy whimsical world with meerkats, which seems to be such a throwback to The Lion King’s Timon and Pumba. His world also has tigers, elephants and, not to forget, ostriches, which the actors use as the mode of transport during a scene.

The trailer doesn’t fail to surprise us within its 2.44-minute length. The trailer starts with Ranbir beat-boxing with innumerable expressions at the same time. Slowly, we are introduced to the life of his character, which makes us believe that he is different. Just like Barfi, Ranbir’s character is close to his father in this film as well.

In the next few scenes, we meet our beauty princess, Katrina Kaif, who is a damsel in distress. Like Humpty Dumpty, Katrina falls multiple times but as she does that, we sense Ranbir falling for her too. Seems like the duo of director Anurag Basu and actor Ranbir Kapoor are yet again all set to take us on a roller-coaster ride of emotions with their film Jagga Jasoos. At some points, you feel a sort of resemblance with their last hit, Barfi, especially the one where Ranbir is trying to fix Katrina Kaif’s shoes.

Going by the trailer, we can assure you that this ride is going to make you laugh, give you goosebumps, make you cry and give you a thrill. Oh, and not to miss, Saurabh Shukla adds laughter to the journey of Jagga Jasoos. This could be certainly the hit we were expecting out of Ranbir Kapoor after Barfi. Interestingly, the film is also extremely important for Katrina, who has given back-to-back flops in the last two years.

Jagga Jasoos, after fighting all controversies and rumours, is finally on the route to theaters near you. The film will release on April 17, 2017.
