Kolkata: The state administration, is working on for countering the bandh called by the BJP on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the Chief Secretary of Trinamool Congress Partha Chatterjee, said that government measures will be taken against the bandh. Now the police administration has also issued the warning. State Police ADG Law and order disciplinary Anuj Sharma said that if law order is harmed in the state then, it will not be tolerated.
He also spoke to the district superintendent of police and directed that, if the roads are forcefully blocked or the agitators try to terrorize the common people, strict action will be taken against them. The surveillance will be increase from Wednesday morning.
A 12-hour bandh across the state on Wednesday has been called by the state BJP party in protest of the death of the students in Islampur Darivit High School. In support of the bandh the ABVP group held rallies across the state and in Central Kolkata. The rally ended at Rani Rashmoni Road.During the rally police had a stiff with the ABVP supporters.
After the procession, the state BJP President Dilip Ghosh opposed the statement that came from the ADG law and order Anuj Sharma. He said, “Police gets salary from the taxes that the common man pays.And police are trying to kill those common man. Now people will also warn the police.”
