Jhargaram: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit Maoist-hit Jangalmahal on February 15th. As part of her district tour to review progress of government-sponsored development projects, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit Jangalmahal.
During her stay in Jhargram, Mamata Banerjee would inaugurate a slew of development projects. Mamata Banerjee will hold a public meeting at Belpahari on 15th February in the remembrance of Silda martyrs.
After that she will be back to Jhargram and hold a meeting with eight BDOs and nine police officers about the development of Jhargram.
At least 21 paramilitary jawans were killed after heavily armed Left-wing ultras launched a sudden attack and overran the forces’ camp at Silda in West Midnapore district. West Bengal police arrested top Maoist leader Venkateswar Reddy, the suspected mastermind of the attack that killed 21 Eastern Frontier Rifles personnel in Silda.
