Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has turned 64 on Saturday. She born in Kolkata in 1955 on January 5. Banerjee brought up in a Brahman family who lost his father at 17.

Mamata Banerjee is an Indian politician who serves as the 8th and current Chief Minister of West Bengal since 2011. She is the first woman to hold the office. She founded the party All India Trinamool Congress in 1998 after separating from the Indian National Congress, and became its Chief.

Being a consistent mass-puller with her leadership efficiency, she founded All India Trinamool Congress in 1998 on December 11. Throughout her political life, Banerjee has maintained a publicly austere lifestyle, dressing in simple traditional Bengali clothes and avoiding luxuries.
