Dengue Outbreak Rings Alarm In Kolkata

Kolkata: Four dengue death in a week has made people panic. On Thursday, a woman named Nurjahan Khatun was died of dengue in a nursing home in Ekbalpur. Two more dengue deaths reported this week

Family sources said on Tuesday, Nurjahan Khatun was admitted to a nursing home in Ekbalpur with high fever. Her health was deteriorated. On Wednesday, Nurjahan platelet dropped to 26 thousands. On Thursday, 43-year-old Nurjahan Khatun died. Dengue has been mentioned on his death certificate.

Earlier, A housewife named Krishna Hazra from Muraripukur area died of dengue, alleged family members. The family members of the deceased housewife claimed that she died due to bites of dengue bacterial mosquito, not of normal fever.

A 10-year-old boy Arush Dutta died of dengue. A resident of Manicktala, he was suffering from fever since few days. On doing a blood test, it was found that he was suffering from dengue.
