Kolkata: An engineering student died of dengue on Wednesday morning in North Kolkata’s South Sinthi area. After the death locals were started protest and gheraoed the BT Road. Huge police reached the spot to tackle the situation.
According to locals, councilor of South Sinthi 1 No ward Sita Jaiswar did not take any step to clean the places and for that reason dengue menaces sparks. Locals put complaints many times but they didn’t handle the matter.
But on Wednesday after the death of student locals started protest and said to take quick measure to clean South Sinthi. Councilor was reached the spot and said to withdraw the gherao. After half an hour, the road block was cleared. Traffic was also effected heavy after this road block at office time at BT road.
