Democracy allows anyone to speak anything: Susanta Ranjan Upaddhay


Kolkata: After the declaration of Municipal results, the Chief Election Commissioner of the state Susantaranjan Upaddhay has said that the people will give their verdict on how the polls were held across the state. India is a land of democracy where everyone has the right to spreak out their mind. This was his reply to all the political leaders who claimed Susantaranjan to be a failure and had also demanded his resignation from the post.

On the other hand, The election commissioner said that the election commissioner decides on the date and the deploying of police and civic machinery at the time of the elections. They did their best to live up to their duties at the time of polls in West Bengal,added Upaddhay.
