New Delhi: The election commission is scheduled to meet to declare the dates of the polls for Delhi Legislative assembly today. The national capital has been under Presidential rule after 49 day Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal quit his position on 14 February the previous year.
The 70 member Delhi Legislative Assembly will go for fresh polls once the election commission declares the date of the elections.
BJP, which is confident of winning the elections with the party in power at the Centre, also had the highest number of MLAs in the previous elections. The BJP had 31 MLAs followed by Aam Admi Party which had 28.
